Text Your List works with Microsoft Phone Link. Upload your list, write one message, and each person gets their own text from your real phone number. You type it once, on a real keyboard.
Phone Link is the free Microsoft app that connects your phone to your Windows PC. On its own, it lets you text one person at a time from your computer. Text Your List adds the part Phone Link doesn't have: a list.
You upload your contacts (a spreadsheet or CSV works), write your message once, and add a first name or any other column from your list. Text Your List then opens a new conversation in Phone Link for each person, types their personalized message, and sends it. Phone Link passes it to your phone, and your phone sends it like any other text.
Because it really is a text from your phone, it shows up with your number (or your name, if they have you saved). When people reply, the replies come to your phone and to Phone Link, one person at a time. No group thread, no shared reply-all.
You only do this once.
Phone Link comes to the front for each message while Text Your List types into it. That is normal. A small progress window shows who is being sent to and how many are left.
Texts go out at a steady, human pace rather than all at once, which keeps your number in good standing with your carrier. A list of 50 people takes a few minutes.
If Phone Link is closed, Text Your List opens it. If Phone Link is sitting on the Calls or Photos tab, it switches to Messages. If the same problem happens three times in a row, it pauses instead of working through your whole list, tells you in plain words what to fix, and lets you resume from where it stopped.
Android phones connect through the Link to Windows app. iPhones connect over Bluetooth, so keep your iPhone within about 15 to 20 feet of your PC while sending, with Bluetooth on and Airplane Mode off.
A personal note to each family after a service, a prayer request, or news the congregation needs to hear directly.
Texting for churches →RSVP confirmations with each guest's name and party size, and a reminder the day before.
Texting for event organizers →Meeting reminders and notices that land as a text from a neighbor, not another email.
Texting for HOAs →Yes. It works on Windows 11 and on Windows 10 with Microsoft Phone Link installed. Phone Link comes with Windows 11 and is free from the Microsoft Store on Windows 10, where it may be called Your Phone.
Yes. Phone Link connects to an iPhone over Bluetooth. Keep the iPhone within about 15 to 20 feet of your PC while sending, and allow messaging when you pair it (Settings, Bluetooth, tap the info icon next to your PC).
Yes. Text Your List types each message into Phone Link, and Phone Link sends it through your phone. People see your number, or your name if they have you saved, and their replies come back to your phone.
No. Each person gets their own separate text. Nobody sees who else received it, and there is no reply-all thread.
It is best not to. Text Your List brings Phone Link to the front for each message and types into it, so moving the mouse or typing can interrupt a send. Start the send, then let it finish.
Text Your List opens Phone Link if it is closed and switches to the Messages tab if needed. If the same problem happens three times in a row, it pauses and tells you what to fix, so you can resume without losing your place.
Free plan included. No credit card. Works with Phone Link on Windows 11 and 10.
